Slides2Go

Your privacy and personal information are important to us. Therefore, when processing your personal information, we strictly adhere to the statutory requirements.

By registering upon concluding a license agreement or, respectively, the use of the App and its associated back-end, you are agreeing to the following privacy policy:

 

1. Collection, processing and use of your personal information
According to § 3 Para. 1 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act), personal information is details about the factual and personal circumstances of an individual (natural person). This includes, for example, your name, your address and your email address.
Creation of a Slides2Go account is necessary for the use of the App or presentation tool, Slides2Go.
At the time of registration, we require the following information from you:
• Company name, if applicable,
• First and last names,
• Country
• Email address,
• a password of your choosing,
• a user name of your choosing.
Upon successful registration, you will receive an email with a link for confirming the registration of your Slides2Go user account.
We will delete your information provided there are no statutory requirements to retain such information and if you assert a claim for cancellation, if the data is no longer needed for the fulfillment of the purpose associated with its storage, or if the retention of said data is prohibited for any other legal reason.

 

2. Use of your data and documents uploaded to Slides2Go, secure transmission
Slides2go offers you the option to conveniently share any data, thus the protection of the user device and the release of data are your responsibility. All data and documents you make available are transmitted over the HTTPS protocol to our server in encrypted form, as well as distributed to the user devices of the recipient and clients. The data and documents made available are automatically duplicated and displayed on the end devices you approved within the context of the delivery. The recipients, then have the option of distributing the data and documents to third parties. The data is processed exclusively for the use of Slides2Go and is in no way forwarded.

 

3. Facebook Social Plugins
So-called Social Plugins (“plugins”) for the social network, Facebook, which are operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) also used on our website. The plugins are identified with a Facebook logo or the addition of “Social plugin from Facebook”.
If you navigate to one of the pages of our website which contains such a plugin, your browser will establish a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The plugin content will be transferred directly to your browser from Facebook and integrated into this website.
By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that your browser retrieved from the corresponding website, even if you don’t have a Facebook account or are not currently logged into Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly to the Facebook server in the US by your browser and saved there.
If you happen to be logged into Facebook, they can correlate your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. In addition, the information is published and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Facebook can use this information for the purpose of advertising, marketing and the optimization of Facebook pages. Facebook generates usage, interest and relationship profiles from this information, for example in order to assess your use of our website in terms of which advertisements will be displayed on Facebook in reference to your use of our website, inform other Facebook users of your activities on our website and in order to provide additional services associated with the use of Facebook.
If you do not wish for Facebook correlate the information collected from our website with your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.

4. Use of cookies
On various pages of our website, so-called cookies are used, which serve to make our Internet presence more user-friendly, more effective, as well as more secure; for instance, where accelerating navigation on our website is concerned. Additionally, cookies allow us to measure the frequency of page retrievals and general navigation. Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer. Please note that some of these cookies will be transmitted from our server and saved to your computer, whereby in most cases these concern so-called “session cookies”. Session cookies are characterized in that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive upon ending the browser session. Other cookies remain on your computer and allow us to recognize your computer system at your next visit (so-called permanent cookies).
Most web browsers include a help function in their menu bar, which explains how to set up your browser to accept new cookies. Additionally, you can set your browser up in such a way that you are notified when you receive new cookies and how to delete all cookies already received or block all additional cookies.

Please observe, however, that when preventing installation of cookies, you cannot use all of the functions available on our website.

 

5. Statistics
Slides2Go uses a self-developed tracking software. This software anonymously records the use of the App for the purposes of quality improvement and to create a more user-friendly interface. The tracking includes the download of the App, opening it, the retention in the App, event/session/interactions, the device type, the device software, device language, network access (WLAN or mobile data), mobile data provider, location and error tracking.

 

6. Google Analytics on the website
The Slides2Go website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, i.e., text files that are saved on the user’s computer and that permit analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about the use of the website are generally transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. In the case of activation of the IP anonymization on this website, the IP address within the European Union or in the contract nations of the agreement concerning the European Economic Community is shortened by Google, however. The entire IP address will be transmitted to a Google server and shortened there only in exceptional circumstances. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to analyze website use, to generate reports concerning website activity, and in order to provide the website operator with additional services associated with the use of this website. Google does not merge the IP addresses obtained from the browser within the context of Google Analytics with other data. You can prevent cookies from being saved by adjusting the appropriate browser settings. Please note, however, that in this case, some functions of this website will not be fully available. In addition, you can prevent the collection of the information (including IP addresses) generated by the cookie and related to the use of the website by Google, as well as the processing of this information by Google, by downloading and installing a relevant browser plugin.
Please note that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();”, in order to ensure an anonymous collection of the IP addresses (IP masking).

 

7. WeWant-Feedback-Tool
The Slides2Go website uses the WeWant-Feedback-Tool, which is operated by WeWant GmbH, Theodor Heuss Strasse 8, 70174 Stuttgart, http://www.wewant.com. By submitting feedback, a so-called “Want” via the WeWant-Feedback-Tool, you are agreeing to the terms of use and the privacy policy of WeWant, which can found at https://www.wewant.com/de/nutzungsbedingungen/ and https://www.wewant.com/de/datenschutz/

 

8. Permission for email advertising via newsletter
Insofar as you have given consent, you will regularly receive newsletters from us via email containing interesting information. Your email address will not be forwarded to other companies. This consent for use of your email address for advertising purposes can be terminated any time with future effect by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter, or by removing the email address using the form on the website to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

 

9. Use and disclosure of information by opting to pay using the PAYMILL payment system
By selecting the PAYMILL payment system, you declare your consent for PAYMILL to save and use your personal information vis-à-vis us, Platingroup, for the following purposes:

a. Internal use
• Provision of the services and customer service requested by you
• Resolving conflicts, deduction of fees, correcting problems
• Prevention of potential illegal or prohibited activities
• Implementation of PAYMILL conditions for use
• Adaptation, evaluation and improvement of our services
• Comparison of information in order to determine the correctness and validity with the aid of a third party

b. Disclosure of client information by sales personnel
Please note that we, as Platingroup, with whom you are concluding a contract for the use of the App/presentation tool, have our own privacy policies and PAYMILL is not liable for the application and procedures. Your information can be collected there under the conditions of the privacy policy of an additional third party.

c. Disclosure of information to third parties
PAYMILL neither sells nor leases personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. A disclosure will be made solely for the purposes described in these guidelines. You expressly agree and authorize PAYMILL to take the following actions:
• Disclosure of information to police, security personnel, government, intergovernmental and supranational institutions, agencies (with the exception of tax authorities), departments or regulation authorities, organizations or third parties, including conglomerates of which it is suspected they are suitable for the examination of cases of fraud or other illegal or potentially illegal activities, as well as violations of our conditions for use (including your credit card or EC card provider or other account payment sources). If you give us false or inaccurate information and we determine that fraud has been committed, we will provide the relevant information to the appropriate bureaus for the prevention of fraud and/or criminal prosecution bureaus. We and other organizations may use this information (including information from other countries) to prevent fraud and money laundering.
• Disclosure on the basis of credit card policies or because of a criminal or civil litigation.

• Disclosure to bureaus/credit assessment:

You herewith give consent for PAYMILL to use the resulting personal information for the purposes listed below, as well as use it to identify, prevent or end fraud cases, illegal dealings, violations of policies or conditions for use.

a) SCHUFA Holding AG, Kormoranenweg 5, 65201 Wiesbaden (Germany);
Bürgel Wirtschaftsinformationen GmbH & Co. KG, Gasstrasse 18, 22761 Hamburg (Germany):
Purpose: Verification of the identity and address of a client, review for the prevention and identification of failed debit transactions, as well as fraud and money laundering, and to include the determination and proof of a connection between a client and their bank account/credit card, support in determining the credit worthiness of sales personnel, examination and testing of the suitability of new products and services. The credit worthiness score, which we request from this company, contains ratings which are calculated through mathematical/statistical processes.
Information disclosed: Name, address, email address, date of birth, gender, details conerning bank accounts, status of the PAYMILL accounts, balance, details concerning failed debit transactions from bank accounts as well as certain information concerning negative behavior of the account, if such a transmission of data is legally justified in the case of German PAYMILL accounts.

b) Creditsafe Deutschland GmbH, Charlottenstrasse 68 – 71, 10117 Berlin (Germany);
Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V. (federation of credit reform associations), Hellersbergstrasse 12, 41460 Neuss (Germany):
Purpose: Determination of a sales person’s credit worthiness.
Information disclosed: Name, address, email address.

c) GB Group plc, GB House, Kingsfield Court, Chester Business Park, Chester, CH4 9GB (Great Britain); Graydon UK Ltd., Hygeia Building, 66 College Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 1BE (Great Britain); Coface S.A., 1, place Costes et Bellonte, CS 20003, 922276 Bois-Colombes (Paris) (France); Dun & Bradstreet, Corporate Headquarters – US, 103 JFK Parkway, Short Hills, NJ 07078 (USA):
Purpose: Identity verification, determination and proof of a connection between a client and their bank account/credit card, determination of credit worthiness; assistance with collection.
Information disclosed: Name, address, date of birth, length of time at an address, telephone number, email address, identity verification, legal status, duration of business activity, registration number, tax ID number, payment sources, including the account information and credit card information (if applicable), relevant transaction details (if applicable).

PAYMILL retains the right to obtain credit information on the basis of mathematical/statistical procedures (rating) from specified credit bureaus. The credit bureaus save and transmit the information to their business partners in the EU market for the evaluation of credit worthiness of individuals (natural persons). Business partners of the information sources are primarily credit institutes, as well as credit card and leasing companies. In addition, the credit bureaus share information from trade, telecommunication and other companies which provide services and goods on credit. The credit bureaus provide personal information only if a justifiable interest has been credibly demonstrated in individual cases. In order to evaluate debtors, the credit bureaus disclose address information. When providing the information, credit bureaus can provide their business partners with a comprehensive probability rating for evaluation of the credit risk (scoring procedure) from information in their data pool.

• You can obtain information from the aforementioned credit bureaus concerning the relevant information saved about your payment behavior/credit rating. PAYMILL receives no detailed information from this. You will be expressly notified concerning the collection of data for the purpose of determining credit worthiness. PAYMILL retains the right to block/reject you from further services or forward the information to your representative/legal counselor (e.g. the bearer of a power of attorney granted by yourself or a legal representative named for you).

• Dissemination of summarized statistical information to our business partners or PR partners. PAYMILL discloses, for instance, that a specific percentage of their members reside in Munich. This summarized information goes through extensive anonymization and contains no personal information.

• As with other companies, it is possible that PAYMILL could merge with or be taken over by another company. In the event of such a takeover, you agree that the subsequent company obtains access to the information managed by PAYMILL, including the information concerning members’ accounts. The subsequent company, however, continues to be bound by the privacy policies unless such policies are changed accordingly.

d. PAYMILL contact with sales personnel such as Platingroup
PAYMILL generally communicates with their sales personnel via email or telephone in order to provide requested services: in order to process client complaints, answer client inquiries, inform you that in PAYMILL’s view, your account is being used for prohibited purposes, to confirm information concerning your person, your business or account transactions, for collection of debts, to conduct client surveys or in the examination of suspicious transactions.
PAYMILL uses your email address or mailing address to confirm the opening of your user account, to inform you concerning the receipt/debit of payments via PAYMILL, to inform you concerning important changes to our products and services and to send you notifications and other legally required announcements.

e. Principle of PAYMILL: Trustworthy handling of your information
PAYMILL handles the information obtained from Slides2Go/yourself carefully and conscientiously. Retention, processing and use of your information occurs exclusively upon the basis of the legal requirements or with your express consent. Your personal information and the personal information of others that you provide to PAYMILL will not be sold, leased or shared with third parties for commercial reasons (e.g. marketing purposes).
Personal information means any particulars concerning the personal or material circumstances of your person. Insofar as personal information about an individual or transaction is transmitted to PAYMILL, this information will be used solely in order to process contracts paid for through PAYMILL.

 

10. Right to information concerning the protection of privacy
In accordance with the Federal Privacy Protection Act, you have the right to free information about your stored data and if applicable, a right to the correction of, the blocking of access to, the deletion or, respectively, the termination of consent to future use of this information.
